About
This website allows users to reorder search results to reflect their underlying preferences. Specifically, if users wish, they may up rank results that reflect their political views, preferences towards scholarly websites, or desire to see less common domains. Therefore, if for example a user says he wishes to see websites from scholarly sources, the algorithm will identify all sites that appear scholarly and then move them closer to the top of the search results.
Users may also block domains or specify domains to be preferred. A preferred domain will then be moved up automatically to be closer to the top of the search results. Users may also select “left wing versus right wing” – which means that search results from left wing domains are placed in the left column, and results from right wing domains are placed in the right column.
In a world in which search engines are subtly manipulating public opinion by downranking unapproved ideas in search results, this website allows users decide for themselves what type of search results they wish to see.
